Once both parties are signed up, you’ll be assigned an Arbitrator and you can write your full statement and upload any Evidence. Evidence can include contracts, pictures, emails, text, etc.
- For suggestions, you can go to www.fairclaims.com/evidence
You will have 4 days to upload your Evidence (timeframe from when the Respondent signs up).
Your Arbitrator has 4 days to review all Pre-Review Evidence in order to prepare questions.
On the 4th day of reviewing Evidence, the Arbitrator submits questions to both parties. The questions are visible on the Dispute details tab on your Dashboard.
Both parties have 4 days to respond to the questions (to be submitted directly to the Dashboard). You can take this time to upload further evidence, under a section called Post-Review Evidence.
Once the post-review answer and evidence portal closes, there will be a final statement period of 3 days. Both parties will have 3 days to review the opposing side’s answers and evidence to make any final statements regarding that or anything you would like to add to close up your side of the dispute.
This is all to be written, no evidence will be accepted during this time. (Tip, you may type this up elsewhere and copy and paste it in the final statement section, so the page does not timeout on you.)
The Arbitrator will render their decision within roughly 3 days from the final statement due date.
If the decision results in one side owing the other side money, payment must be made within 14 days. The decision from the Arbitrator is legal and court enforceable.
